Albi can be found to the north-east of Toulouse, on the River Tarn. The thirteenth century Cathedral Saint-Cécile is the main tourist attraction here, along with the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum, which houses a large number of paintings and other artwork. There are various fringe festivals held throughout the summer, which make the city a lively place to be during the tourist season.
It is easiest to fly to Toulouse, Albi is then an hour away by train.
