Jerez de la Frontera is located 27km north east of Cadiz within Andalucia and is a famed for equestrianism, flamenco and sweet wines. It has been producing and exporting these distinctive wines for centuries and guided tours of the many Jerez bodegas (cellars) are available for visitors.Attractions
Jerez' importance in the equestrian world is evident in the number of bronze statues in the town and the Royal Andalucian School of Equestrian Art is located on Avenida Duque de Abrantes, to the north of the centre and boasts popular horse displays.Jerez is also famous for its long-standing flamenco tradition, making it an excellent place to witness this extraordinary art. The Flamenco Museum located in the Plaza de San Juan, which is the most important museum of its kind anywhere.
Other attractions include the dominant Public College of San Miguel de Cervantes; The towering church in Plaza de San Miguel; the Archaeological Museum in the Plaza del Mercado; the magnificent towers of the Baroque cathedral built in 1700; and the Palace of Time, and the Clock Museum in La Atalaya Exhibition Centre.
The motor racing track, the Circuito de Jerez, is now a major attraction to Jerez, especially at the time of the world championships when hundreds of thousands of motorbikes enter the town. For the children the zoo, Parque Zoologico, will be of interest, located east of the town centre.

Shopping is a great experience in Jerez in the main street, Calla Larga, and in the book fair in the main square.Nightlife and Eating Out
