Brighton is a lively city on the Sussex coast, with a bustling bohemian atmosphere. Brighton has a variety of attractions for visitors, both night and day, whatever your interests. The most famous attraction is the Brighton Pavilion. Once George IV’s palace, it is now home to beautiful furniture and artwork, and spectacular landscaped gardens. There are several museums in Brighton, from the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery, to The Toy and Model Museum and the D-Day Aviation Museum. Brighton Pier is something worth visiting, with its small fairground and several arcades. The Sea Life Centre is excellent for family visits, and a sightseeing bus tour will show the main sights and attractions of Brighton in an afternoon. A short drive away is the Devil’s Dyke, a scenic park offering a relaxing day out to escape the activity of the city.Shopping
Perhaps the most famous feature of Brighton’s shopping is The Lanes. These quaint streets are what made up the heart of old Brighton when it was a fishing village. The Lanes are now full of exclusive boutiques and one-off stores, selling a range of products from designer and unique clothes, interior design, jewellery and antiques. The North Laines are home to a multitude of shops selling an assortment of trendy and unusual gifts and clothing. Churchill square is the more mainstream end of Brighton, with its range of high street stores.Nightlife and Eating out
There are many pubs offering pub food in the Lanes, plus many trendy cafés serving light snacks and full meals, from vegetarian dishes to seafood. There are also pubs and cafés in the North Laines, and a good noodle bar above the Chinese supermarket.Brighton has a huge choice of pubs, from the quaint to the trendy, there will be a pub to suit everyone. Brighton isn’t known as the gay capital of the UK for nothing, the gay and lesbian scene here is huge, with an extensive assortment of bars, pubs and clubs targeted at this group.
